Heat rash occure because sweat gets trapped under the skin and irratates like hell. Usualy in folds like behind knees elbows or where skin rubs together like inner thighs. The powder stuff others have mentioned is the best bet. Avoide creams

Gold Bond Powder works great...clears up the rash and gets rid of the itch. If the rash is severe, put some Calamine lotion on it first. I use baby powder sprinkled on various body parts to prevent heat rash. You have to stay dry and wear thin, loose fitting, cool, soft, cotten clothing that does not stick to you and lets the air in.

One of the first times i had this issue i asked a pharmacist and he directed me to the medicated powder that he had there, the main ingrediant in it being corn starch, which you can use straight corn starch as well, but you want to avoid creams of any sort cause the area needs to be kept clean and dry to heal, i think that you will notice when washing the area that moisture produces that farmiliar burning feeling. i think what i used to buy was called ammens medicated powder or something like that, but look in the a drug store or pharmacy section of a grocery or department store or just pick up a box of corn starch and apply powder to the area. You will likely need to keep reapplying it through out the day. once this heals you may want to still apply powder also as it will help prevent heat rash if you are going into a similar situation working in the heat. also breathable clothing will help you as its the moisture and salt from your sweat and rubbing of the inner thighs thats the issue.
