as long as you have no shared assets or property, (if you live in a community property state, then all assets are shared, so you need an attorney), then you can file yourself, without an attorney. You will just need to pay the filing fee, which averages about $150 in most states. Contact your local county courthouse to get the documents.

You can get the papers and a CD to help at Staples and Office Max. they cost about $30. You file them w/County Clerk that is another $150.00 if it is not contested. Get them to sign the papers before you file or you will have to pay a fee forthe summons.

There is no such thing. Divorce costs plenty. The lives of the marriage partners, their reputation, their children (they pay the most), the court costs, the alimony costs, the costs of breaking up the household, and the YEARS of emotional damage.

By having your spouce file for it and not get a Lawer. But I will tell you this , your spouce will get wvery thing .

a dissolution inwhich you and spouse.. agree on division of everything... and sign a paper. it is final quicker too. the less you disagree.. the faster and cheaper it is.
