she found i really bad song on my mp3 and she won't talk to me...everything i say gets her mad..and i wanna make it right

i've written her letters before, and she doesn't think they are sincere, don't think i'm just this rotten kid, but when it comes to my mom, it's REALLY hard to fix things...and i cry over dissaapointing her because i hate to see how she looks at me...i don't want her to be so ashamed of me and i feel so extremely bad but nothing i do is seeming to work thnx 4 all the help

also, she kinda confiscated my mp3 but i don't even care i just wanna be able to start over..i am really trying to give myself a whole makeover..i am in the magnet program and i guess she didn't expect this from me

and whenever i try to talk to her she doesn't wanna talk and just gives me this look and tells me to leave and i am SO sorry i upset her but i wanna just start over

GIVE HER SOME TIME TO COOL DOWN ...SHE IS NOT MAD AT YOU THAT IS WHAT COMES ACROSS WITH MOMS WHO CARE AND WORRY...MAKE HER A CUP OF TEA OR WHATEVER SHE LIKES...WHEN MY DAUGHTER DID SOMETHING THAT MADE ME UPSET SHE WOULD WRITE ME A NOTE AND IT WOULD MAKE ME SMILE SHE WOULD ALSO PUT A PS ON THE END FOR EXAMPLE MOM IM SO SORRY PS CAN I HAVE A BROWNIE IT WOULD MAKE ME LAUGH AND I WOULD TELL HER HOW MUCH I LOVED HER.....TELL HER IT WAS IN POOR TASTE TO HAVE THAT SONG ON YOUR MP3 AND THAT YOU ARE SO SORRY THAT SHE IS UPSET.....YOU VALUE HER RESPECT AND THAT YOU ARE SAD THAT SHE FOUND THIS MUSIC THAT WAS OFFENSIVE ...AND THAT YOU WILL BE MORE SELECTIVE WITH WHAT YOU LISTEN TO IN THE FUTURE.....

You sound like you are a good daughter. I'm sorry your Mom is being so hard on you. I would never stop talking to my daughter over a song on an mp3. All you can do is what you already did by apologizing. How old are you? It sounds like your Mom has some problems. Maybe you could talk to a counselor, unless that will get you in even more trouble. Just keep being a good daughter and try not to get her mad at you anymore. I think your Mom is being too hard on you.

Your mom is very cruel to you and I'd like to give you a hug, feel so sorry for you.
That is really not the behaviour of an adult and it's very mean to punish a kid by ignoring her. I'm sure you are a nice and good person, don't see yourself through her eyes. And you should try to find an adult near you who supports you there, maybe a relative or a teacher you trust. My best wishes for you.

Listen, stop beating yourself up over this. A good parent will love their child no matter what. The one thing I have learned about parenting is that each of my 3 children are different. They each tested me in their own way, but I know its just a part of their transition into adulthood. I would let them know my opinion, then I just dropped the subject. Soon enough they decided on their own. If your mom is really that upset and angry about it, then understand that it is her problem, not yours. I am sure soon enough, she will get over it and things will get back to where they were.

I think your mom needs to grow up! Only children hold their mouths when they're mad! Whatever you do, don't treat your (future) children like that. And by all means, don't bring that type of music in her house. Tell mom another mom said "Get over it!" There are so many other terrible things you could have done....

Give her some cool off time...Just say to her, "look, u don't have to talk just listen" or "I'm really sorry mom I'll just stay in my room for now but please come and talk to me when ur ready" Do some chores around the house also and show her that ur really sorry dont mope around

Do you think being a parent is easy? Why don't you respect your mother? You most definitely owe her an apology. Make it right no matter what it takes to do so.
