How come the files on JFK's murder are locked away from the public view for something life 50 more years. Secrets like that are only kept when our government doesn't want us to know something.

There was a book that came out a number of years ago that was written by a much younger relative of a well-known Italian gangster. It is called Double Cross and it explained basically everything in regard to this issue.
Here is what really happened...
Joseph Kennedy had a lot of money and a lot of political influence. He used both with others to rig the presidential election so that his son, John F. Kennedy, would win over Richard Nixon. But the agreement was that the Mafia would help Kennedy win IF it was promised to them that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) would take the heat off of their illegal activities. The Kennedy's agreed. If it were not for the rigging of the election, Nixon would have won the presidency in 1961 instead of 1969.
(One wonders how many other presidential elections were rigged in this manner.)
Anyway, when JFK got in the White House, he double-crossed the mob. Not only did he not take the heat off of them, but he appointed his brother, Bobby Kennedy, to be Attorney General and to go after Mafia-related crimes with the FBI. JFK also made it known that he intended to dismantle the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) - which of course the latter did not appreciate, to say the least.
Lyndon Johnson knew all about this.
So, you had the CIA, the Mafia, and Lyndon Johnson, all in on a plot to assasinate John F. Kennedy. The Mafia took JFK out in Texas with a number of their marksmen and the feds used Lee Harvey Oswald to take the blame. Oswald was actually a CIA agent who even said that he just a patsy for the assasination. He was soon killed because the feds wanted to ensure that he didn't blow the covert operation by talking to the press.
The feds then prevented any autopsy of JFK's body from being performed by independent investigators who were not a part of the assassination and covered up the whole incident by stating that it was simply a one man operation - the laughable "single bullet theory."
The truth always comes out eventually, no matter how hard the corrupt try to hide it and distort it.
Most governments eventually become self-serving and corrupt, signaling the beginning of the end. So it is with this one as with most on this world.

Nope, the Mafia did it. JFK's dad went to them to help Jack win the 1960 election. They still haven't found the ballot boxes from Chicago in the lake. When this corruption was discovered, Republicans wanted a recount but Nixon told them no, it would be bad for the country. Soon after he was elected and appointed his brother, Bobby, as the attorney general, Bobby started an investigation into organized crime. That was a slap in the face to those who had helped get Jack elected. So, they decided to show the family, and the country, who had the real power and how when you go to the mafia for help and they help you, you don't squeal on them without consequence.

JFK was boinking Sam's girlfriend. and JFK and RFK broke the promises that their old man, Joe,made to the Mafia In exchange for the Mafia rigging the election in Illinois.

Americans took credit for the moon landing and WW2 so
they decided to kill JFK.

My favorite conspiracy theory is the one in which the Warren Commission knew who really did it but they covered it up because they -- the members of the Commission -- are afraid of being the next ones to die.

I don't know about Johnson but our "People" seem to think that type of "method" is the best way to elimidate ALL problems!!!
