Oh my god, I cannot believe how desperate Hollywood is to make a few more dollars. I think that it's absolutley disgusting that they have the nerve to glamourize the killings of thousands of people.
They were showing previews for this film in a New York City theater-- and the sad thing is, I'm willing to bet that a large fraction of the people at the theater knew someone who died in the attacks.
I just cannot believe it. Anyone who would go to this movie was alive when the attacks actually occured-- so what's the point in forcing them to relive the events? I cannot see that many 4 year olds going to this movie-- so there is no point in even creating it.
I wouldn't have a problem if they created this film 75 years from now, but at this point in time it is far too soon.
I think that everyone who helped produce this film is a disgrace to this country.
Therefore, I think it would be wise for Americans to just boycott this film and watch it fail in the box offices.
Your opinions?

Well look at the Titanic that was tragic as well. I know you may say that it was a long time ago. They will always make movies about stuff like this. The World Trade Center event is a piece of history that we have had to live with. I did not know anyone that was killed, however my heart was broken. I feel that maybe the movie is coming out too soon, this tragic event is still fresh in every-ones minds.

I dont know if I will see the movie or not, but I think many people have forgotten 9/11, or their mind has put the event on ignor. People seem to have such a short attention span on important issues that we sometimes need a stern reminder. I would rather be reminded by a movie, than another attack. Wouldn't you?

alot of movies out in recent years have been based on a true story, mostly tradegy. Americans didn't boycott them so why boycott this one. It'd be harder because it's closer to home to look at it. Of course it'd be unsetting for anyone who lived near the WTC, worked in it or any of the emergency services who were there that day. Nobody is forcing you or anyone else to go. If it upsets you don't go. but an all out boycott is a stupid idea.

You're right. Some people are so selfish and greedy they will glamorize any event to satisfy their want for money. Sad, America...very sad.
