When you had the house fumigated, did you sign a contract of any kind? A lot of companies that fumigate houses for fleas will include return visits, at least one, but some of them even until the problem is under control. Check if you have a contract or call the company that did the fumigation and tell them that you are not satisfied with the results. Be polite about it, but firm and you may get them to take care of the problem. Are your pets taken care of? You may want to find them a flea free place to stay until the house is free of the pests. Give your pets another flea bath or have them dipped before you return them to your home. Good luck.
Arm and Hammer won't take care of a severe infestation like you are describing.
PS: Make sure you keep a flea collar inside your vacuum cleaner bag at all times. Should any living flea get vacuumed up later, it will die inside your vacuum rather than crawling back out to reproduce.
Have you ever tried Borax (boric acid)on your carpets? It dries the fleas and the larvae out, but you have to repeat the process in 7 - 10 days at least once to get the new ones that just hatched.

You have to remember that for every flea that your pets brought in, they've laid hundreds of eggs everywhere that haven't hatched yet. When you fumigate you generally kill only the adult fleas that are living. The eggs will still hatch, and you'll have more fleas. This can go on a long time, so be patient and be consistent. The over-the-counter room foggers are a good idea (and relatively inexpensive compared to professionals) and have worked for me in the past. It's also a good idea to switch brands every now and then so the pests don't become immune to the poison. Don't despair - it took me nearly a year to get rid of all of them (and I don't even have carpeting!), but eventually I did. Good luck!

I only had to handle this - I actual have 2 outdoors/ indoor canine that picked them up from a chum's living house. at first, i does no longer use benefit - that's what i replaced into using yet i found out that it in basic terms kills person fleas. Frontline Plus is larger as a results of fact it additionally kills eggs. only make specific you do no longer tub them 3 days in the previous and after giving them the topical therapy - the medicine is dispensed interior the direction of the oils interior the exterior and once you bathe them, it strips the oils. the final thank you to get rid of fleas at your house of abode is to maintain it as clean as conceivable. Wash puppy bedding in heat soapy water. additionally vacuum carpet, couches, etc. on a daily basis. Vacuuming is your ultimate chum, because it eliminates the eggs and larvae. (10% of the fleas are on your pets, the different ninety% are on your place.)

I would suggest consulting your Vet on this subject. I think you have to fumigate the whole house as well as shampoo and treat your dog at the same time. They will offer good advice as to which products work best. Also vacuuming the carpets and furniture daily helps.

You need to make sure the dogs are on a quality flea/tick medicine first. Then, I would buy powder for fleas and dust the whole carpet, then vacuum. THen I would steam clean the whole house. Afterwards you can try spraying adams around. I have had the same problem and a good steam cleaning fixed it.

Oh man, that's always annoying! Try Advantage - it worked wonders on my cat. Also, you're best bet is to bomb the house - flea bomb. Try using Raid Flea Bomb (I'm not sure if that's the name, but it's a Raid product, and it worked for us.)
When you do use it, make sure to bag up your possessions, shake them out first, vacuum them, whatever it takes, and bag them up, you may want to spray a flea spray in the bag (preferably Raid, it's deadly, but you can always wash it afterwards), and then bombs away. Make sure everyone (including your animals!!!) have a place to go for a few hours....preferably non flea infested, so you're not just bringing 'em back into the house.
Then for the next few weeks, vacuum daily , and throw out the vacuum bag daily(outside, not in your house). Eventually, when the fleas learn they can't live on your pet, and the place is pretty anti-flea, they'll hopefuly go away permanently. But you have to treat all your animals every month, just to keep the medication in the blood stream (or wherever it is...)
I know it's a lot of work, but it's worth it. (And to prevent re-infestation, your best bet is also to make sure you're not bringing anything home with you on your own person...shake 'em off before coming home.)
Sure i'm a little paranoid, but (knock on wood) I don't have fleas anymore. :) For more info, know thine enemies...check out http://www.fleacontrols.com/fleainfo.htm
