I think everybody needs to remember that the DaVinci Code was just a fictional novel... it is not true and should not be taken as non-fiction.

For one thing, it's a novel, not a history book.
And even if Davinci DID draw a picture of Jesus and Mary Magdaline together that doesn't mean that's how it really was.
And besides, if you look closely at the untouched version of the painting you can see a beard on the figure that Dan Brown claims is Mary. It's a little obscured by dust and grime and cracks in the plaster but it's there nonetheless.

Riddle me this Batman. . .

First when reading the bible it was meant to be guidelines that you sometimes have to read between the lines.

Mary is mentioned in the bible several times, however there is speculation if the bible was translated correctly. There was also a prostitute named Mary that hung around Jesus and his crew. It is possible that some of the passages were incorrectly tranlated or misread meaning the two Marys were switched.

Mary bathed Jesus' feet with oils and perfumes with her hair. This was a tradition that only a wife would do. So which one was it?

Ya know I hope it was. I hope Jesus did have a good life of comfort and ease with a wife. Cause the last little bit of it sucked. The Da vinci code is true while you read it. Then put it away as a good story and know Brown never said it was true. He was just silencing the muse. I don't know how this became such a big ol mess.

it's not true. although while Jesus did die at age 33, I do wonder what he was doing at age 20.

if you're a 20 year old male living in antiquity, why wouldn't you be interested in women, finding a wife, having babies?

it was a semi-common practice in Jesus' time to find people who proclaimed themselves to be the Messiah...so it would not have been unheardof for Jesus to do the same thing...which makes me wonder how "special" he really was as a very young adult.

did he arrive at his understanding of his Messiah status at a young age or did he choose that path as an adult? if he chose that path as an adult, wouldn't he spend at least part of his early adulthood doing what his friends were doing...meaning, finding a wife, having kids, etc.

which means, it is possible that Jesus had children, BUT there is totally zero evidence to suggest this...just my ranting.

NO, and neither is the title of the book, It's "The DaVinci Cold" It's all about how his sorry heretic a** died in a damp, mud wall loft apartment in Paris

Though it is a very good novel, Dan Brown himself even tells you in the book, that it is only fiction.
