Depends on the person.... on a punk or rocker, it may be a statement... on a person whos done up to the nines in every other way, it looks silly

Personally, I couldn't go around wearing chipped nail polish on my nails as it wold annoy me toooo much, if it was chipped and It was an abvious colour that people would notice, I would have to take it off, But thats me!
But yet, theres alot of people getting back into the punky style again now, and I supose if you like to be different and stand out it, and you can pull it off with confidence it works!
So to be honest if I was sat at a bus stop for eg and happened to notice someones nails chipped or whatever, it wouldn't be a taking point of mine, I've got more important things to talk about, and I'm sure alot of people would agree!!! :)

OK let me say this, my mama always taught me that if you going to have your nails polish you need to have them painted all the way or no color at all. Chipped just looks tacky. Same thing for the toes never sport chipped toe nail polish! And if you have acrylic nails have the time and money to keep them up!

I myself try not to wear it but ,it seems sometimes I am just too buy to take them off,and normall that is the time someone wants you to go out and you forget to take the chipped nail polish off, but I now just wear clear or non at all.

I met my mate in the park yesterday and his nail varnish was all chipped and I thought it looked a bit slack but I never said anything about it because he goes on and on about his transformation into a woman at the slightest opportunity, and it's old news.

I think if you're going to wear it you should keep it up. If you're too lazy, forget it altogether. I know you can be caught out sometimes when it can't be touched up though.

Paler colours are more forgiving than dark. I often wear clear if I want a more polished look but don't want the upkeep. Dark red chipped polish looks awful.

Sometimes they are too busy to redo their nails. Some people wear it as a fashion statement because it's nice to be individual and original.
