The next time you fly over, look out to the West side of I-95. Those brown piles aren't dirt...it's a sanitary plant for the city. It's been a joke for as long as I know about how dumb it is for that to be the first thing visitors see/smell.

It didn't smell when I was there, but each time I have to pick up or drop someone, the flights are delayed. One time there was a 5 hr delay. In my book, it's the worst managed airport, period. Ergo, I fly out of Newark. Filty and dirty, but at least you get in and out on time.

our airport smells funky because it is located by a lot of refineries, trash dumps and waterways. sorry about that :)
