Youre outside, air is still and quiet and fragrantly clean. you know the sound of the leaves and you expect the crunch and you listen for it and all other sounds are distant and muted. It is entrancing and soothing in it's familiarity.

i have no idea but i like stepping on crunchy leaves too....i think its cus i ⥠the sound and feeling of the crunchyness

It's the same thing when popping bubble-wrap - it's so satisfying:)
I think it's the smell, the sound, the feeling... Lots of stuff make it fun!

It is just fun, one of the unexplainable things in life. maybe you like the crunching. The same with elevator. You love pushing the button, but deep inside, you know it's dumb,but you just GOTTA push it!

it's probably the same sense of satisfaction that i get from stepping on bubble wrap, it's just an enticing sound and it's fun to do. maybe it reminds us of being kids and staying young at heart...
