I don't know the difference between iPod and iRiver. Could someone tell me the different features, and stuff?

I had an iRiver iGP-120 a few years back, and it was a very sturdy model. I like their interface and the quality of their devices.

iRivers tend to accept a wealth of media formats, while iPods tend to discriminate against .wmas and will force you to convert your .wmas into ACCs. That's very inconvinient. Also, if you want to download songs for your iPod, you can only do it via iTunes. iRiver will let you download songs from a variety of places.

Also, I had 30 GB iPod video and it had horrible battery life. You can do better than an iPod. Try an iRiver or a Zen instead.

The different brands have different designs and goals.

The iPod is scratch-prone, has short battery life, and lacks some features.

iRivers tend to have video playback, and support for OGG music files. All of them have FM tuners and voice recording.

The iRiver Clix has games and is generally considered to be the one of the best, if not the best, flash players on the market next to the Sandisk Sansa e200 series.
