How do you repair masonite siding that has water damaged bottom edges?

The home looks like it hasn't been painted in about 7-10 years. The upper part of each strip of siding looks fine but the bottom edges are swelled with water and wet in places, especially lower down on the walls.

There was a class action suit against Monsanto over Masonite. It should be replaced at once. I recommend Hardi-Plank.

it cant be repaired it must be replaced. Masonite is a good product IF it is kept painted..
