Tell her that what you want is to know what she wants because to know what she wants turns you on. Sex happens with two people and knowing what the other wants is part of what makes good sex even better. Make sure you are NOT in the bedroom when asking this and that you are both in a comfortable mood.

I think this is their culture. You might try telling her you don't like something and watch her reaction .Sort of reverse psychology. Incidentally, you sound like a really nice guy. She's lucky to have you!!
