That depends on what school you want to apply to and in what country. A lot of schools will let you go for a PhD even if you don't have a masters in the same subject. But some schools won't. I think you should contact the schools that you have in mind and ask them what they need. Hope this helps.

What you plan to get your masters in is a completely separate and non-related field to what you want with the doctorate.
Now there are some schools that would give you credit for your professional experience, but without an IT related masters, I don't honestly think you'll be accepted into a Ph.D. program.
It's like my getting a Bachelors in education and then pursuing a Masters in computers. I don't have the fundamental classes, so I would have to make up quite a bit. Some schools might allow you to make up limited parts, but if there's a lot to make up, then generally don't accept you.

of course!!!
there are colleges just for computers!! and all colleges offer phds!!
but there are so many technical jobs out there. check into it w/ a yahoo or google search. get phone nubers and call!! you are sure to get one if your focused!!

yes ,but you have to start all over again ...that M.S. would not count for your credits for Phd IN comp science ,
But.it;s not a big deal many people do it .
