It would. But you should just wait until you get the actual contacts because it is not that hard. Personally, I think it is better to touch your eyes through a thin film than to touch it with your finger. You might scratch your eye with your nails.

I have contacts and I dont think that is necessary. Touching your eye and touching it with a contact are two different feelings, and the contacts is sort of a barrier between your finger and the eye. If you touch your eye with the bare finger, it probably will hurt, which isnt the case when you do it with the contact.

Overall, i think you dont need to do it.

I didn't, but if you do make sure and only touch the white part. Its really different to put in contacts than to touch your eye though, because they're on the colored part and they will be all wet. The first time I put contacts in my doctor did it for me just so I could see how it felt. It was really weird and I was trying not to fight him but my eyes still kept closing by reflex. After he had put them in, he told me how to take them out and I put them in myself. It was easier cuz I already knew how it felt.

Not everybody knows that even the micro spores breathe, human system is so delicate, I will not suggest anybody to use contact lenses. If my knowledge is not less and I understand it right, it covers a minute and sensitive part of the human eye, there you go! covering, something, which naturally needs open space, air circulation, wetness to dry up, eyelids to move with the "miraculous" glands providing the minutest of secretion, in my opinion, even if a finger is bandaged for too long, it is bad, bad, the skin over the bandage needs to cool down - by Divine Interventions. Touching the eye therefore, is gross violation of human gifts given by the Creator. Thanks. anjum

I've worn contacts for YEARS and was never taught to do that. I think it'd make just as much sense to get used to seeing your finger getting close to your eye. Obviously, when there's a contact on your finger it's what you put in your eye....NOT your finger. Regardless, always wash your hands well. Doing anything with your eyes is not a time to forget about germs and infection.

I don't think you have to worry about putting it in there....it's getting it out that is the kicker!

But...you'll get use to doing it and it will be like an old pair of shoes, and you will love the freedom contacts has to offer instead of the glasses...
but...don't wear the contacts too long on the first few days trying them out if you are a new user of contacts. Try a few hours and increase your daily wear until you adjust to the difference between the two. (also, light is much brighter at first...wear some really cool shades in the sun)
I hope you like your new freedom..........BE A MOVIE STAR!

LOL I've never heard of it.

Just make sure you have a really really clean finger if you do. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap, then rinse all the soap off and dry them with something that doesn't leave fluff on your fingers.

I still think though that the best practice is actually doing it for real. You will be unco at first but with time it will become easier.

nope if you put your contacts in right you never touch your eye. the contacts suck to your eye and fall into place. It takes about 2 weeks to get use to them and then your good to go.

it kinda helps. I tried it. but it's different when you put the contact in because there is something inbetween your finger and it feels different. but it sure does help. the biggest problem I had was keeping my eye open when I put my contact in when I first got them. So practice as much as possible...lol...just make sure you wash your hands first.

i guess...but putting in contacts is easier than just touching your eye. because u dont actually touch your eye when u put in contacts...you touch your contact that touches your eye. if that makes any sense....but good luck!
