Hello! I've started a forum just like this on FanFiction.net asking why people hate Kikyou from the manga and anime InuYasha. I don't care what kind of answers they are, just, please, do not call me a ***** just 'cause I want answers about Kikyou.

It's easy! Nobody likes Kikyou mainly because she was a thing of the past. There is now Kagome, and it's obvious InuYasha loves her more, yet he still hangs onto Kikyou because she was the first to accept him. Kikyou is disliked because everyone (I'm not talking about the characters here, I'm talking about the fans) wants InuYasha and Kagome to get together, but the person who stands in the way of that is Kikyou. Therefore, Kikyou is hated beyond repair. People would like her more if she'd just go back into the ground. :D

personally, I think its because the fans of the show cant see that Kikyou isnt the one taking Inuyasha away from Kagome and whatnot, its Inuyasha. Dont get me wrong, I dont hate Inu-kun (or Kikyou) but its hard to really get over the fact that Kikyou isnt the one to blame, at least not when you know the whole story, and she isnt even the same person as she used to be, her soul isnt even hers anymore! And she was brought back by Urasue in malice to begin with, so what should inhabit the grave soil and bones other than the same evil that so absorbed the one who brought her back? The thing is, Kikyou is very misunderstood through the majority of the series, and her motives (I believe) are set on destroying the one who ruined her life; Naraku, not ruining the man she loved, or her reincarnation. Even when she threatend Kagome's life, for the jewel shards, it was to bring down Naraku. Theres a pattern here, you just have to catch it.

Because Kikyou never reallyl accepted Inuyasha for who he really is the way Kagome has. Kikyou wanted him to turn human while Kagome accepts the entirety of who he is. The reanimated Kikyou is also not the true Kikyou. She acts in ways that the living person would not have done. She only exists now because of hate and vengeance. How can you like someone who's entire existence is based on such negative things?

I am one that doesn't like kikiyou as well, but mainly it is because she was brought back by evil, kagome is kikiyou incarnate, so there is no purpose for having kikiyou around, besides, i think she would be better off not being around, it obviously hurts her to see inuyasha and kagome together.

Maybe because their InuYasha x Kagome fan's. Or because of things that happened when Kagome was by her. Like when Kikyo kissed InuYasha in front of her. -_-

i haven't really started watching inuyasha since im waiting for people to load them in japanese with english sub cause i think the english version is weird and i think i would prefer kagome than kikyou cause kagome seems more friendly than kikyou i guess

Wellllllllllllllll lets see, she tried to kill inuyasha, tried to drag him into heck with her, wont let him move on and live happy. i duno..i like kagome alot better shes helped inuyasha..alot more than kikyo has all shes done is hurt him.

Because Kikyo is crazy and mentally challenged and because she's DEAD, and most ppl probably want Inuyasha to remain single I don't kno why.

I think the main problem with Kiyoko is the fact that while she was brought back from the dead against her will, she is doing her dangest to stay on the mortal plane however she can, which totally goes against her past personality.
