All the dictatorships and decades-long civil wars and suffering in Africa? If you're such humanitarians how come you only support wars against SOME dictators.

I'm not saying Sadaam wasn't a shitty, horrible person. But it makes you look really, really stupid when you argue against one dictator and turn a blind eye to the rest of them.

The point is that Saddam was more than just an ordinary dictator. He had slaughtered thousands of his own people using chemical weapons (WMD). In addition, he had thumbed his nose at the UNITES NATIONS' resolutions for TEN, count them, TEN years. He was warned well enough and long enough that his behavior, his support of terrorism, and his attempt to stockpile WMD would not be tolerated. There was and IS every justification for the war in Iraq!! I do not speak for the Right Wing, but I do speak for many Americans who see through the deceptive jawings of the liberal democrats running for election in November.

Chow!!

Because you cannot fight what you cause. I could give you a country by country history of Africa and the past and present troubles are caused by the actions of so called civilised states and the despots they support in each country. Look at the History of GB, Germany, France and Portugal and I daresay the USA with Africa and you have your answer.

Africa and Africans are finally waking up and do not now entertain friendships with nations that claim friendship and kinship, whilst abusing, raping and stealing from the people. New relationships formed with Russia and China will prove more beneficial to all parties.

Personally, I'd love to take 'em all out. But we can't be everywhere simultaneously.

What really gets me about some lefties is that if a Democrat is in the White House, they won't hoot and holler and do all sorts of protests. Anyone remember our involvement in Bosnia? Not a single Hollyweird celeb or big-time lefty screamed and hollered for Clinton to step down, at least none to my knowledge. Where was Sean Penn? Where was Martin Sheen? How about Janeane Garofalo? Hypocrites!!!

why do conservatives like netjir support the Saudis who have 100 times more links than Saddam?

have any of them ever read the 9-11 report and know where the terrorists came from?

Netjir, I would advise you to watch your head, you're believing your proven enemies are your friends and when you turn around, they may stab you in the back...

warren1515: he's been doing the same things for 25 years... more so before in the 80s than in the past 10 years? we funded him while he was killing the kurds, but attack him now that he's not doing as much? you make no sense?

netjr must be a republican....most people with brains know that there was no Saddam/AlQuida connection. We overthrew Saddam because he did not give the KING (oil interests) their proper "taxes".

The other little dictators don't threaten us; don't welcome al queda in for medical attention and training, and have not used chemical weapons on their own people.

Wake up before al queda takes your head.
