You can test to see if the applications are still on your computer. Go to run, and type "wordpad", and hit ok. If it launches, you still have it on your computer. Next, repeat the previous steps, but type "mspaint" instead of "wordpad". If it launches, you still have paint as well.

The path of Paint is:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\mspaint.exe
it is also at...
C:\i386\mspaint.exe
The path of Wordpad is:
C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Accessories\wordpad.exe

Go to those folders in windows explorer, and make a shortcut to them.

Put your Windows CD in your computer go to Control Panel--> Add Remove Programs--> Add Remove Windows Components-->Accessories--> Paint and click on Paint to reinstall it and any other accessory programs that are gone.

Go into your programs directory then go into windows nt subdirectory and, under the accessories folder, you should find a file marked wordpad.
If you do, you have it.. If not, you can always do a restore to before it was removed.

Clk Start / Programs and see if you have a listing for PC Help and Tools. If so, you can recover lost or messed up programs using Tools. Clk around to see what is available to you.
