Avoid using angry gestures towards other drivers, and do not look them in the eye. Remember driving is Not a CONTEST. Road rage can also be caused if you are upset by a personal issue before driving and if you are running "late". Chill out, take more time, maybe play some calm music to relax you. Good Luck!

Well, for starters, one way to live longer is NOT to drive, because driving causes severe mental stresses and in your case, it's also causing rage. So, more info is needed to find a solution to your problem, like your age, gender, and are you in shape, or fat, etc. There is also another way it will end, either you will be beaten by someone carrying more stress than you, shot or stabbed, then you will learn, maybe a car accident? possibly you will be arrested as a result, no matter how it ends, you will live longer learning to manage your rage in a positive way like the gym. a few pointers looked at in court: did you stay in your car? egg them on by giving the finger? chase anyone? follow them? cut them off, all factors in your possible future court case. So I suggest you heed the warning, someone may have just lost their job with a mortgage 5 kids to feed, or found out their kid has cancer and be really raged way beyond anything you can handle watch out good luck..

Just get in the mindset that you have no control over other drivers. Develop a laid-back approach. It worked for me. Do I get angry? Sure. But what good does that do? It's not gonna change a thing. I also think about the driving mistakes I make and realize that none of us are perfect drivers.

Just remember that when you are angry, you are not fully in control of yourself. You become just as dangerous to the people around you as those you are cussing at.

Concentrate on being a good defensive driver and maybe invest in some anger management classes.

Leave on time so you aren't rushing...I only get po'd when I'm in a hurry and some person decides to practically park their SLOW-mobile right in front of me while I'm driving. It's like..."Hey, the gas peddle is on the RIGHT!!! USE IT NOW!!!" But anyway, if I'm not in a rush, I definitely chill a bit more when I'm driving.

Take the bus.

Seriously, have you considered an anger management class?

Before you say that you don't have the time or cannot afford it ask yourself this question.

Can you afford a horrible accident, perhaps even death, because of your road rage?

If you REALLY knew how to drive you would be scanning ahead looking for the problems before they arose and avoiding them. when traffic is really heavy there isnt anything you can do
So, learn how to drive, not just point somewhere approaching the right direction
