Hurricane Katrina victims were stranded without food or water for two weeks in wading water or trapped in homes or the Superdome yet the US Marines were able to go to Lebanon and pick up Americans who are there (which is a hot zone and should not be there anyways) within 24 hours. We can help others but not our own neighbors in our backyards?

Well the SMART people in MISSISSIPPI didn't wait for the govt to arrive. We were smart enough to start working on our own!!!!!! We have great state leaders who didn't agree with most of what Bush did and still managed to do great things for us!

You see we had the military there just keeping things in check. New Orleans needed them because it was a WARZONE!!!!

Well, considering it wasn't 2 weeks for hurricane relief you question has no merit. The coast guard was in NO on day one and some national guard were there too. On top of that, it is the responsibility of local government, not federal, to take responsibility during natural disasters.

Plus I don't think the people needing evacuation in Lebanon started shooting at the rescuers. That probably ha a lot to do with the ease of operation.

Sound travels like howls. Sound has a limit of say 1 x 7 feet/second, a howl increases exponentially and is proportion to the distance it is meant for, at one point they say, written in books that a good howl travels 1 x 983 to the power of 29, so expecting howl to exist within the confines of a set parameter is absurd. This is what is confusion around the world, people do not know the difference between a howl and a sound and they keep on talking in whimper.

Anything that even relates to potential military involvement seems to get priority. Katrina victims had to wait so long because of the incomptetence of the people appointed by this administration to run FEMA. The politician dont care about the people that have elected them and we can expect the same kind of response when the next big disaster strikes this country.

katrina victims were different because you could not just go in and get them, the area was flooded and unsafe. teams had to take extra caution when rescueing these people.
on another note, its not our goverments fault it took so long.. goverment is not to interfere until the mayor says they cannot handle the problem on their own.

now lebanon. . . i don't even see why we are helping these so called "lebanon americans". they only cry for help from our goverment when they need help.. they were so quick to get out of America though.

No matter what the Bush administration does, someone is going to have a problem with it.

Stop crying.

neddie is a freakin idiot by the way.

This government is really a mess and we need to move the Bushites out so we can get our dignity and honor and economy back again. They can just go to Irag if they want to.

The America's in Leganon had connections with Bushite power players. The victims in New Orleans were helpless and had no connections whatsoever.

WHY do Americans complain incessantly about everything???? No matter what is going on, there is always something for people to whine about. It's un-friggin-real!

If the US government is that much of a mess, then by all means move elsewhere.......

it is not our "form of government" this is exchange into damaging yet how Obama is perverting and twisting it with the intention to bolster his own agendas, i.e., having the IRS harass non-liberal companies, turning the dep. of Justice on the media to attempt and silence them, etc.,.
