The last I heard he was making a comeback after being quite ill, but nothing happened.

He had a breakdown & spent some time in a hospital but I am not sure what he is doing now....hopefully he is getting better...taking his medication & seeking expert advice about his mental health issues...

Adam Ant isn't making a comeback at this time.
He was about to be in a tour in England, with other UK 80's bands, when he had a 'breakdown'. That was several years ago, about 3 years I think. The news, and media have been pretty unkind about this for the most part, and sensationalised what happened.
He lives in LA, and had for many years; and returned to do the tour. Before the tour started he went to a pub, and was made fun off by a group of men there. Supposedly, he returned with a firearm and threatened them. The firearm turned out to be imitation, not a real gun.
I'm writing this from memory, and since it happened I have heard many different versions of the story.
The people he 'threatened' were making fun of him. And he's had trouble in the past with being stalked, and with the media especially in the UK treating him very badly. I expect, he'd had enough, yet again, and the pressure got to him, and the bullying by the people in the pub set him off. That isn't surprising given the circumstances, and having endured that sort of treatment before.
I recently saw Marco Pirroni on the television here in England, and he talked about Adam Ant and Adam's boughts with manic depression. Adam apparently has had manic depression for quite some time.
Adam was in hospital being treated medication for manic depression.
I've seen a few reports back in 2003 that he had got the Ants back together after getting out of hospital, but since then I saw Marco talking here on TV; so that doesn't look like it's happening any longer.
I think Marco, being Adam's long term friend, would be the person to trust more about the subject then anyone else.

Stuart Goddard (Adam Ant): kept solo career going, did some acting. Married in 1997, became father in 1998, then fell ill in 2001, no word since.

Last I heard he was suffering from mental illness and got himself nicked after threatening someone in his local pub with an imitation firearm. Shame I thought he was so cool when I was 11.

hes gone in to hiding and is a mad recluse which is a shame as a lady in her late 20s i loved him he was great and im not ashamed to admit it
