haven't you figured it out yet, that's what the studio's do.they what to keep making money so they intentionally produce a poorly written story to make a qouta because they have to put out a certain number of movies regardless if it's entertaning or not so they don't go out of business, and in the case of a movie like the break up they rely on star power. to give you a few examples battlefield earth, dare devil, and gigli, they had stars but the stories were horrible. when was the last time you saw a movie make zero dollars at the box office, even though it was bad?

Typecasting. They did that to Meg Ryan for somewhat awhile. even if, Meg Ryans videos were easily quite sturdy. Jennifer Aniston's purely memorable romantic comedy, for my area, replaced into "alongside got here Polly".

no i loved it! didn't have a typical dumbass hollywood ending, was funny and real at the same time. it was more of an independent movie at times but then they would bring in the strippers and crap to exaggerate things which made it more streamlined for the rest of you shallow viewers.
it was good. not great..but definitely good and worth my money.

Much ado about nothing; didn't even register on my "would recommend" meter....sad, really...I like them both, but the movie wasn't very well done...
