I plan to get a tattoo on my lower belly. I think of having my name written in chinese...but i'm open to other ideas as well. I want something smart and classy, not raunch please...thx in advance...

I personally am not very fond of the chinese symbols - I'd rather have something with meaning to me.
Get something that represents you...or that you enjoy.
I got a tattoo of a treble clef with a peace sign at the bottom - because I <3 peace (and peace signs) and I'm a music major.
I have a couple of tattoos in one on my left foot ...a starfish, a seahorse and a koi fish...I grew up on the beach and it's where I feel connected to.
and the koi fish represents good luck and courage.
get something with meaning - you'll enjoy it more as you get older! <3

Don't get a tattoo in another language UNLESS you have consulted with several native speakers of the language. There is a website of hundreds of people who got tattoos in Chinese, and they thought it said something cool, and it said something totally different. One guy wanted something like "Strong Man" and the tattoo actually said "Crazy Diarrhea"!
Also, Chinese tattoos are really cliche. Do you want to have a tattoo that millions of other unimaginitive people have?

Names generally do not translate well into Chinese.
There are a few fonts out there that make English words (and spellings) look like they could possibly be foreign words.
I suggest getting a tattoo that you can read and KNOW is correct.

I like the idea of your name in chinese. I want to get that on my ankle
just make sure it's what you really want. You can try wearing a fake on there for a while to make sure you like it.
