My frieand asked me over a month ago to help look after her kids whyle she was at work as her husband is going away for a long weekend (she has twins who are age 18months and a baby age 6 months and a eldest daughter of 6) for her with the help of her sister then i rang her to say is it still ok for next weekend she then said oh no i have got suzann to do it know so i replyid oh right ok then i can then organise my weekend know then and said there we are then cheers i shall let you go bye and put the phone down. i am quite peed off as if i had not of asked and left it till last min I would of looked a righ fool turning up at the door step and seeing them all there wondering what i was doing there for. Did she happen to forget she had asked me or was it just been a nasty cow or a user as i have looked after them befor for her and had no nasty remarks or nothing only they love it when i come to see them and look after them what do you all think.

if you've babysat before with no problems she has probably just forgot and may well of got round to telling you before you turned up because she remembered again - she asked you with plenty of notice to safeguurd her kids id reccommend ringing the day before to check to make sure suzann can still make it, and say if there is a problem your happy to help - after all it's getting the babies looked after is the only real issue here, all your friend is doing is trying to make sure her kids are covered

Wth all those children.....i think she probably asked everyone she knew (just incase) & then forgot who she asked.

She probably hasnt got time to fart let alone phone all the people she thought she may of asked? Mothers (especially ones of children so young) should be allowed to make **** ups like that.

Dont worry about it, give her a call after the said time & ask her how it went? Let her know that your only at the end of the phone if your needed in the future.

:-)

Maybe she did forget or maybe she felft bad for asking you,she might not have wanted you to feel put upon so she organised for someone else to have the kids,or maybe the person who is looking after the kids volunteered and she didn't want to offend by saying no.There are a million possibilities why but I would suggest that if it has hurt or upset you that you should tell her that.

Maybe she did forget it's a little naughty on her part though.
I find in these situations it's best to speak to her about it. If it turns out innocent then it will save you from fretting and feeling upset about it and possibly ruining your friendship. If it's that she thought the other option better then at least you'll know where you stand but either way best to know.

Good luck x

It sounds like she forgot and its upset you so your looking into it too much. She may be jealous if the kids get on better with you but really don't get angry. If it still bothers you tell her how much it annoyed you that you were doing her such a favour and she took you for granted.

Wait until the anger has passed and then just ask. It may be a misunderstanding, or it may be an inconsiderate person. Don't assume anything, clear the air when she returns.
