I'm on the East Coast and sometimes, certain people tend to act "funny." Like somehow they feel that they're better than everyone else? Around my way, when we see people who try to act all uppity we call it, "Actin' stank a dank dank." I'm sure you've seen these people. They pee, and poop just like the rest of us! What are your thoughts? And oh, just in case you happen to be one of those uppity types, "Smell ya, shouldn't have to tell ya!" Peace out homie!

Life's way too short to be out here trippin' over something as negligible as the color of one's skin! Get a life!

Where I live now... no problem. Depends on if you live in a small town or large town. For the last ten years I have lived in smaller towns with small amounts of black, mexicans, etc... Now there, everyone's always nice to those people... to their faces.... but that's about it. I think most people tend to look down on those they think are "skanky" rather than color.

We're on the East Coast too, having moved from south Texas. I didn't realize how integrated we were in Texas until we moved here, where everyone seems to be voluntarily segregated. Sections of town actually are primarily of a single race, and they tend to get their undies in a bunch when someone else treads into their space. It's so frustrating! Plus, we're foster parents and often have a rainbow clan of children. You should see the looks and ugliness we sometimes experience then, and from ALL types. It's as if mixing races and being open-minded is even worse than being a racist. It breaks my heart, but also makes me want to smack those people for exposing our children to that garbage.

I'm from the midwest. When I moved from a large city (Milwaukee, WI) to a much smaller city up north. I thought, where are all the black people? I guess the city I'm in now has had a lot of racial tension. Now, 10 years later, seeing a black person doesen't surprise me. Of course, the crime rate has gone up. Heck, I even have homies that hang out at the park drinkin 40s & smokin blunts. So, I guess I can't say that I'm any better than them..but I'm white, so they probably think that I think I'm better than them anyway.

Where I live there is more or less a civil standoff. The population is 70% hispanic, 7% black and 27%caucasian. But we do have a gang here called "KILL THE MEXICANS' aka KTM. A majority of the hispanics live in the East part of town and it is like a 3rd world country there. There is a lot of resentment of them by others.

In my part of the globe everyone's cool with each other. We look out for each other's kids and try to do everthing on a community basis. It is such an eclectic mix you've got Greeks, Pakistanis, Indian, Italians, Africans, West Indians & Arabs. It's great.

Me and Jasmine are best friends who take turns on the computer answering questions. I am what she calls seriously white. She is black. We have a great time together and my mon thinks she is a great friend. Some people in Oklahoma are prejudice. and down right cruel to her.But everyone in school loves her and remember all those old prejudice people will one day be in a nursing home and we can be mean to them.
Kids rule!!!!!!!!!! Those old farts are all 50,Babtist and white and mean. 20 years from now they will be old, senile and beat around in a nursing home. Wanting us to take care of them.
What goes around comes around.

There is alot of racism in my area where i live. It really makes me mad cause' a person is a person-we're all human.Color has nothing to do with anything it's the personality that matters!People always got to rebel or be rude to someone-it just shows how stupid they are! We are all human and race doesn't matter to me,as long as you are a good person.God bless you all who agree with me.Stop racism now!

Not sure that skin color is relevant here in So Cal unless you're in the inner cities or prisons. I personally don't categorize people that way, so I don't know. Sorry you know so many Liberals.
