I think SOME women are happy to be better at something than a man, because women have previously been taught that men are better at everything. But, I am a woman and I don't find any special joy in being better at things than men. I just enjoy doing well at the things I enjoy.

Throughout history men have held women down and not allowed them to achieve great successes. Through the last 50 or so years women have been making great strides in society. It is still very important to many woman to show up men so they feel like an equal counterpart!
In saying this there are also lots of men that believe a woman is not able to faster, quicker, smarter, etc than a man. I know for me it feels great to be able to show up a man and say "look we are just as great!"

Personally? Because most of my life I've spent being told that I'm inferior to men. I wasn't permitted to take martial arts because it's for boys and was forced to take dance or gymnastics instead. God forbid I ever got callouses.
It's not that I like to be better than a man or that I like "beating" men at their own game or whatever, it's that there's a serious satisfaction in proving everyone who told me "no" or "that's only for boys" wrong.

its not about finding great joy at doing something better than men.
Its about finally showing the world, that the female sex is as good as men at most things they do!
Its about standing up for ourselves after years of abuse!
However, being a woman, I dont think women can do some things better or atleast as good as men can ...
Like betraying, like cheatingg, like hurting!!!

Women use both sides of their brain. It's a basic instinct for survival and protection of their species. They have more sensory nerves than men do. If man was made first than women are the new and improved model.

Physiologically a man is stronger than a woman, so when a woman can outsmart a man per say, its an accomplishment that overrides physical strength.

To add to what everyone else has already said and I agree with...guys also tend to have these god-awful annoying egos and love to think they are the greatest. (I know not all men are like this, but you gotta agree that many are) So it feels great to not only show that women are not inferior to men, but to also show some cocky guy that he's not the god he thinks he is.

mostly because guys have always acted better than gurls and so when we can prove to them that girls can do things as men just as well and even better we like to rub it in and sometimes it helps us feel better if we're really down because guys always say girls are second best at everything!

because woman have been repressed for so many years that now we have the opportunity to be equal we sometimes take advantage and over indulge in the moment. sorry!
