I am 6 wks pregnant and for about two weeks I have been experiencing a lot of pain and dizziness at work. I have severe abdominal cramping, dizziness, blurred vision, extreme shaking in my limbs, and have had some bleeding. I'm afraid the physicalness of my job is causing problems. I have had miscarriages in the past as well. Everyone seems to keep telling me (including doc) that in the first trimester there isn't much you can do about this, and if you are going to miscarry it can't be stopped. Is this true or is there something that can be done? Would stopping the physical things that are causing the symptoms help? Someone please help..I'm extrememly worried and want nothing more than to keep this baby.

My doctor knows about the bleeding and all the other symptoms. He's telling me that extra rest, or not engaging in the physical activities won't make a difference.

In your case you should NEVER do heavy-load physical jobs during pregnancy. Please sleep as much as you can and seek physician help as this might be the only way to avoid the potential miscarriage. Best of luck and tons of baby dust to you.

It's true that in the first trimester there really isn't anything that can be done about stopping a miscarriage. Although, his suggestion to slow down at work and to rest more is a good idea. Talk to work and see if there isn't a job they can give you that is less strenuous. Also, try not to stress out so much. I know it's hard to do, but try to relax. Take a bath, read a good book, just take a load off. Trust me, your doctor is doing everything he can to help you. If you are still having problems next week, call your doctor and make an appointment to be seen. Nothing wrong with being cautious either...

Deffinatley go to the e.r. or your doctor. I am going through this RIGHT now. I just recieved word that i am misscarring. it has been a long 3 days. I had to wait 2 days to find out if it had been terminated or not. Hearing the words"We cannot find a fetus in the uterus" are very devastating words. then having to go through the pain of it passing. I still have to go back to the obgyn monday. they will tell me what to do next. Be very cautious of the bleeding and cramping. It can mean a variety of theings is going on. take care of yourself, stay off your feet and keep your family close. I would not be making it through this process without them. And no, there is nothing you can do to stop this process. If it is going to happen, it will. I am so sorry you have to go through this. I know exactley what you are feeling. Just know this.....God has a reason and a plan for everything under the son. I say my baby went home because God needed their help in heaven.

You need to get another doctor's opinion because my mom is a nurse and she worked in the labor and delivery her whole career and I am pregnant and I was spotting and she told me to take it easy and to not do anything to hard and not to strain because it can cause a miscarriage.

Your doctor is a JACKASS!!!!

You better go to the emergency room. You can bleed to death!

You might be having a miscarriage of even worse...you might be pregnant in your tube. That can kill you.
