I love and am fascinated by them. I'm a marine biologist, currently studying my masters, and the more I know, the more I am amazed by these truly remarkable animals.
I'm giving you this link, so you can learn more from them, it is from a professor, who currently studies the great white off the coast of Australia...., it has a lot of biological information, but personal experiences of him and his colleagues with these remarkable creatures....

Enjoy..

Watch Shark Week on Discovery Channel beginning July 31(?).
I too love the great white shark and would also like to study them.
I love to pick up shark teeth and guess the species. I can easily tell a Great White from a Tiger. Tiger sharks are also really cool.
Did you read "Twelve days of Terror", by Richard Fernicola? If not, go get it today. It is about the New Jersey Shark attacks of 1916. Good luck in your endeavors.

I like sharks just fine as long as none of them bite me...don't know why Discovery Channel's Shark Week is always on when I'm going to the beach...I live near several beaches now and saw a sharktooth in the water by my foot, but a wave carried it away. I was freaked b/c I don't think about sharks where I am because there've been zero attacks in the one state my usual beach is and one at the ones in my now home state. My best friend lives in Hawaii and surfs and he says he sees Tiger Sharks swimming next to his board all the time...*shudder*

no one can call themselves an animal lover unless they love ALL animals, and i may not be an animal lover, but i have nothing against sharks, no one should. but im afraid that their time is just about up there are mollions being killed every year(compare that to the barely 80 shark attack average). too bad: doctors were really looking forward to getting cures to cancer from them. oh, and for the people who are commenting that sharks are good eating, i would have a doctor check your blood; because of pollution, mercury levels in sharks are dangerously high especially in the fins. about 6 times higher than they should be i think, its safer to be in the water with a great white than eating one.

Great White Sharks are also my favorite ocean going animal. Thanks to Jacques Cousteau I learned to appreciate sharks and other marine life from a young age. If you get the opportunity watch Jean-Michel Cousteau: Ocean Adventures: Sharks at Risk (link below). He captures some of the most amazing Great White footage I've ever seen.

i think that anything is interesting as long as we leave it in its natural environment. i would not like a shark if he had his teeth around my leg or my neck. i luv to watch the great whites off the coast of south africa because those jump out of the water, and i did not know that sharks could do that.

I'm scared of sharks just because they're ferocious creatures.
My uncle watched Jaws when he was a kid and that messed him up. He used to be fearless.
