NO! It is not, nor will it ever be dead. Technology may squeeze other things out of our lives, but romance will never be passe. Look hard and you will see love and romance everywhere.

The possibility is always there it's just dead to
a lot of people. It all depends on the person
and how open and comfortable they are with themselves.
An open mind that sees the romance and mystery in life
will see it in a relationship. It's the only way to be!
It does exist but it's usually buried underneath too many hang-ups and fears.
where it is in an open mind and a person who listens to their heart n who believes in romance.
What it is is poetry n candles n a certain way of seeing n risking being vulnerable n a million other little things......

It certainly does exist, in literature and the movies. In real life, this is dependent upon the individual. Romance is harder to find as you grow older, but mystery abounds the more you learn and understand about this very bad place in the universe, earth. If you don't have 10 profound questions at the ready in your heart, then I am sad to tell you, friend, you haven't been paying attention. UC Eagle. (P.S. This is Mystery)

I'm romantic and i like mystery and adventure. But truly i think they're dead. Where i live-Ireland-if a guy's romantic its weak and no fun coz pleasure is the real order of the day. So-i content myself now to be alone but not lonely coz i wont change who i am for people who prioritize qualities i dont admire-like gettin pi$$ed all the time and downgrade others-like skinny dipping from a candlelit boat together.
Time to be moving i suppose. Besides Irish women are notoriously good at ridiculing and walking over us male counterparts for showing "The weakness of romance".
Its dead in the world thanks to many cruel women i knew who took advantage of it for attack. But it'll always be alive in my heart for whoever may share it in time.
wow-what a fluffy answer-better watch the match, fart and crack open some beers to compensate.

I dont think that romance is dead. I just think that it has evolved over the years and is not what it used to be. Furthermore it differs from one person to another. This dynamicism and objectivism makes it difficult for one to actually define something romantic.

I don't think so. I am very romantic with my wife. Flowers candy the whole nine yards and yes even after 14 years she is a mystery. I love it, just when I think I have her pegged she throws me curve.
