Several years ago (might have been late 90's) i saw a preview for a movie i never saw in theatres, and have been trying to identify for years.
I think it starred Christian slater but not sure. The story line as best as i can remember it, is a young guy working at a morgue, and one night he witnesses a murder.

Thats about all i can remmber i think the murderers try to get to him since he saw the body just outside the morgue door.

any chance it was, "night shift"? there is one that people say might be what i am looking for.

I don't know if this is the movie or not, but it might be Nightwatch. It stars Ewan McGregor as a law student who takes a job as a night watchman at a morgue. What he goes through sounds like what you might've seen in the preview.
