I love this song its one of my favorite songs from them, but the video just kills it for me, and i was just wondering if i knew the meaning, or what its supposed to mean, maybe id enjoy it more.

I watched VH1 yesterday and they said that the reason the Panic! video had fish tanks over peoples' heads is because Panic! are fed up of people liking them for their image (the press).
I think the video makes sense and is genius! You have to watch it carefully at least three times to get the meaning. The meaning is a little complex and for some, hard to interpret, but I can interpret it pretty well since I am an English literature and composition major, interpreting works is what I do best.
I'll give you some insight into it: the part where the couple are in the 'passenger seat' of the rescue cars is ironic. When they are separate bath tubs in the passeger seat of each car contradicts the part "exchanging body heat in the passenger seat". When the rescue workers (panic!) release them in the ocean, they are exchanging body heat even though they are in water. They are exchanging their love and can actually feel each other for once.

Where to begin. No offense to the answers you got, and not to sound pompous, but they sucked! One girl didn't even have the right song. I may not be the most relible source but heres what I got.
The song is about the fact that he loved her (and he made for great sex) but she cheated on him with another guy. And because of this he dumped her but he promises not to let it get to him and to let her go but he still wants to taunt her with what she could've had.
(I personally think it's a massively sexy song and I cant stop listening to it)
As for the video, it may more or less have the same meaning. She left and did what she shouldn't have and now he's gone and it hurts her so much that she's gone now to. The kiss at the end could be two things 1.) He's REALLY showing her what she could've had-all the way, before they are both gone or 2.) He forgives her. But hey, if you know panic!, it's probably the first one. I also believe the water is showing what keeps us alive.
Profound, but still just an opinion.

I thought the song was about horny teenagers having sex in a car, but that video is the stupidest thing I've ever seen.
All I could think about when I watched it was how over-crowded those goldfish were in those tiny tanks. The ammonia those things produce in addition to all the oxygen you're sucking out from the water and the lack of a proper aeration system would kill those fish in a matter of hours. (Sorry, fish geek here)
Honestly, I think such a sell-out 'faux cool' band as Panic! At The Disco shouldn't be considered to have any real meaning. If anything, videos/music like that is nothing more than the direct result of a lot of drugs.

I am so happy, it was only a 35 minute drive ( 70 minutes total) but absolutely no sign of anxiety or panic i shopped till I dropped - brilliant! I will now go for the next stage DUAL CARRIAGE way, probably at the weekend, with my husband accompanying me first then the solo drive, if successful the final stage of driving on motorway
