We as Native Americans would like the Governer to recognize our THREE RESERVATIONS here in Texas. The Caddo Indians gave Texas its name, Need to know how to start a NON-PROFIT CORP; on this. Appreciate any info.

Your tribal counsel will know how to proceed. You are absolutely right that the governor should know better. Perhaps he feels that the residents of reservations are not actually "in Texas," since they are in sovereign territories of their own which are not controlled by Texas. But wherever there are reservations, there are also members of those same tribes living in neighboring towns and cities, and you'd think a governor would know that, too. This is not one of the brightest bulbs on the Christmas tree, is it?

I don't understand your question. Are you saying that we need a special day to be aware of ourselves, like the Negroes and Mexicans?
