This person has been an intimate friend and I had been led to believe that they were trying to straighten out some bills and then go in a rehab. Not long ago they admitted that was not their intention, in this situation with being a Christian and years invested in this relationship what would you do?? They're 66yrs. old and has had a triple by pass not to mention High Blood Pressure.

Sounds like you'll be saying goodbye, one way or another.

There isn't anything you can do besides PRAY.Legally you cannot do anything if they can't admit they have a problem. But show them they are worth more than just throwing their life away. There has to be more going on than just an addiction. Most people that are on some type of drug are usually trying to escape physical or mental pain.As a cristian don't give up.GOD would not give up on anyone and if he won't you shouldn't.Have a real heart to heart talk with them.Just be careful of what you say because you won't be talking to the real them. They will be very defensive.I hope this brings some light to your life.

Man, you've got to watch those folks. I have an ex-wife who got on that stuff and just completely flipped out. I'm talking thousands and thousands of dollars buying that trash. She tried to quit and I believe her intentions were good but the call of that stuff is apparently to great. I finally talked her into going into rehab. and it seems to be working. She stays in it for six weeks and has two months of follow-up work to complete. It would have been easy to give up on her but my father told me once that you don't kick a friend while there down and that seems to be the right path to live by. The treatment cost me $700.00 which seems like alot but to see her recovery and reclaim her beauty and desire for life will be worth any amount. Good Luck with your friend.

A 66 year old crack addict wow that is horrible. Nothing you can do but suggest he gets help. He only has little life to live and he is being self distructive. Tell him you love him and will be there for him but he needs to get help on his addiction.

You can't force them to stop, I guess the only thing you can do is let them know you care about them and that your willing to help them out if they want to change there life.

thats a really bad drug and it's effects are extremely addictive.

but again, you can't help someone who doesn't want to be saved.
