I think that softball and baseball really do need to be different sections. I have beenplaying softball for seven years and they are different sports. Besides, most of the questions on here are about major leagues. Fastpitch and Slowpitch could be in the same section, because they are variations on the same sport, but they should not be combined with baseball.
There are multiple sports on here that will probably get there own categories, because yahoo! answers is still in beta testing. This also applies to the travel section, where they are missing a lot of popular destinations. In the future i hope to see a softball and gymnastics section on here.

Hey I agree... I've been playing softball for a few years and I looked for a section for it when I first started using Yahoo Answers... I was a little disappointed....

Yes, i just posted a question and I couldn't see 'softball' as listed in the sports category. So i had to post the question under baseball which is the next closest i presume.

Yes there is Allot of Question about but then again there a few categories that they need to make sections like music the should make different categories for tall the music types

well there are some pretty big differences between softball and baseball so you could argue that they dont belong together...esp since most of the baseball talk is about the MLB.
