i'm beginning to think it is... it looks so much like the beginning of wwii.

i am not sure if we should be afraid yet. we are still as far away as we ever were from the site of the conflict. and the players who would threaten us have limited at best ability. the problem i see, is we seem to be ignoring the fact that we are posturing before large groups of people who don't yet hate us, and telling israel to keep bombing the crap out of their neighbors. we should not inspire a nuclear delivery system born of the desperation of crushed nations by showing them diplomacy does not work.

well I'm not sure if WW3 has started yet but we could be seeing the beginning stages happening in the Middle East right now.Things could get real ugly real quick,Iran & Syria are supplying Hezbola with rockets and other weapons, the U.S.is sitting on the sidelines more or less encourging Israel to continue with it's attack's in Lebanon until Hezbola is sufficently weakened in Southern Lebonon
as to allow a ground assault, which Israel is massing it"s military forces along the Southern border of Lebanon in preperation for right now. There is more than one reason for us to worry. The first thing that comes to mind of course is the availibility and price of oil.But more than that I worry about how other countries would side in an all out WW3,of particular concern to me are China and Russia in that order, also India and Pakistan somewhat concern me as well. After all the U.S. military is overstreched and over worked almost to the point of being broken as it is.I'm concerned that some of these coumtries may think this would be the perfect time to take out the U.S.while we are already down.I do think conditions are not good and WW3 could jump on us at anytime. With our current political leadership being in charge of our policy and our military yes I am some what worried but not afraid I mean after all this is The United States and we dont scare easily.

The media has said this several times about several events in recent history... ie 9/11, invading Afghanistan, invading Iraq and now Lebanon and Israel issue... They just want a headline maker and saying WORLD WAR 3 Gets attention. But in reality no country or countries together are stupid enough to officially declare war on USA and/or Israel because they'll just be annihilated. All they can do is this cowardly terrorist attacks.

It's a world war yet because most countries are not putting troops into the field. Hopefully it won't be one. We all seem to hate politicians, but all the dancing around the issues they do is exactly how to avoid a war. I'm more nervous than afraid, but that might be beccause I haven't experienced war firsthand.

No, this is a regional conflict. It is a high profile region but yet it is regional. one country defending itself against an armed militia (some will say terrorists) is not a start of a world war. even the Arab world does not support Hezbollah's actions on the south of Lebanon, so who will the world fight?...
