My current challenge is cancer, but I don't feel that it is insurmountable. I've done all the treatments, kept all of the doctor's appointments, made life style changes and tried to keep a positive outlook. The alternative is to give up and wait for death. My point is that there are always options and choices to be made in every situation, even if only in the choice of one's attitude. *grin*

Everybody has challenges. Some people handle things better than others. I know someone who can't handle any thing that even makes him the least bit uncomfortable. There is always going to be things that will challenge you. But if you are a strong person, it can be delt with and you are able to move forward. And if you can learn from that challenge, even better !!
Right now the biggest challenges that I am facing are:
The loss of both of my parents within the last year.
And being a single parent to three boys. Ages 16, 10, and 9.

Nothing is insurmountable. You can't believe it is and just fold up. Even if you think you're going down, do down hurling defiance. Seek, strive, find, never yield (paraphrasing Tennyson).

My son is using and drinking and throwing his life away and I can't stand to see him in whatever pain he has that's making him use. Emotional pain, that is.
