The OJ simpson trial was going on, and the Jury was allowed to watch the movie.
There is a scene where a T-Rex eats a lawyer and the police guarding the hotel reportd cheering at that exact moment.

I think that it was about the first time they were driving the ford explorer. They reviled it for the first time in the commercial, and they were driving those in the movie.
