August 29, 2005 and it lasted all day- some would call that the beginning of the end. It was also the longest day of my life. It was a scary feeling and when we returned, it was as if the entire world had been flipped over and crushed! It was so depressing seeing people's valuable belongings from their memories laying around in all the trash.

And for you people who think it hit NEW ORLEANS...a direct hit would have CAUSED THE SUPERDOME TO COLLAPSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Cat 5 is a hurricane with sustained winds of 150 MPH, and up. My source of info? My daughter's in-laws live in Mobile, Ala, and New Orleans, La. When you feel like a break from Y! It was around the time of the Video Music Awards (MTV) last year like August 27, 2005. I remember because they were afraid it was going to hit down in Florida and they thought they'd have to cancel.
