All these nasty questions and answers here from conservatives about liberals indicate a deep and unresolved terror of liberals and particularly of Hillary and of other strong independent women. How to explain that? Every time I post a question, some nasty-minded Republican comes along and doesn't really answer the question but says insulting things about me and my beliefs.

They have no answers. Only Swift Boat attacks.

Why is that? What is the basis of that fear? Liberals are very nice people. Jesus was one, after all.

Remember? Prince of Peace? He was not God of War.

He would never call me a bad name. He'd never stand still while you call me a bad name either.

I'd like to hear from some conservatives on here who have something besides bad spelling and grammar and personal attacks in their repertoire.

"Liberals are very nice people. Jesus was one, after all."

Really? What Bible did you read that out of because the Bible I read says that God is against two major liberal views:
1.)same sex marriage - Romans 1:26-27 and 1 Timothy 1:10
2.)abortion - Psalm 139:15-16 and Matthew 5:21

Am I "afraid of liberals"? Of course not...I'm married to one. Do I think they are nice people? Sure, there are good ones and bad ones...just like conservatives. As for Hillary.........ugh......I think she gives liberated women a BAD NAME. Why? Because most REAL liberated women would have kick that sorry lying cheating husband of hers in the hindend a LONG time ago. I happen to think of myself as a liberated conservative woman. I have a college degree, in which I got on my own, without my parents funding and without being married. I lived in my own tiny apartment with my cat and lived off of Ramen noodles. I became a social worker and got married to a wonderful man....even though he IS a democrat! : ) And we now have 3 children and run our own successful business together. A true testament that liberals and conservatives CAN live and work together! And MY liberal democrat husband has even been FAITHFUL....take THAT Hillary!!!

ps: How was my spelling and grammar? : )

The word liberal is a widely misused word these day, just look at the liberal spending of the republicans, to me Bush is very liberal on some things. They are scared of Hillary because she would change all the fascist ways the republicans have designed and implemented, although I don't think she would be a good president but you seem to like her because she is a woman.

Are you sure those "conservatives" were attacking you or were they attacking what you said?

Concerning Hillary, conservatives are not afraid of her, they just don't trust her. Their fear, if there is any, may be in that the loose-thinking Liberals might get her name on a ballot and the other Lie-berry-alls, including illegal alieans, might get her elected.

Her husband got elected when most of the U.S. was asleep and it could happen again with Hilliary.

Of course Liberals are nice people.Except for the fact that they cannot understand that freedom has to be paid for, they seem to be normal folks.

I'm conservative, but I agree that people should come up with sound arguments and lay off the personal attacks.

A wise man once told me, "You know how to tell when you've lost a debate? You're the one doing the name calling."

Having said that, Hillary Clinton is EXTREMELY liberal, and any words and actions since 2000 have been to draw more support from the middle. Remember the health care debate in '94. It would have quite literally exploded the size and scope of the federal government.

I can't quite remember which founding father said it, but he said, "Government at its best is a necessary evil, and at its worst, an intolerable one."

My $0.02, anyway.

First, let me say Jesus had no political affiliation. Second, you can't compare yourself to Jesus while being condescending.
Third, there are nasty people on both sides of the political spectrum on this site, you have to take it with a grain of salt. Fourth, I am a conservative, and am not afraid of liberals, or strong women, as I am one myself. Hillary is liberal...she is too far left leaning and probably won't receive the support of her party for the '08 election. The problem I have with liberals is that they too easily give up allegiance, and blame America for every problem, disregarding our own need for peace. Not all Democrats are this way...but most liberals to me seem to run on emotion, and reality seldom appears.
Finally, if you want a conservative answer to a real question, then ask one.

First of all it all depends on your defenitions of the afore mentioned terms. Second of all, in my book, anyone leaning on the left side of the fence would tend to be liberal, especially one such as Hillary Clinton. And I personally don't like her. I think she's egotistical, controlling, and for lack of a better term, a *****. I also think she's incredibly insensitive after her eye rolling during Bush's September 11th speech. I'm not terrified of the liberals themselves, I'm terrified that your ideology will ruin this country and destroy the things that our founding fathers stood on, including *ghasp, dare I say it* the Judeo-Christian God. They were Christians (and Jefferson was a deist, but for the most part all Christians of various denominations) and that was what made this country so incredibly free and wonderful. This was also a country where MAJORITY ruled, not where minority supercedes. The needs of the few in today's america outway the needs of the many apparently in the minds of 90% of left leaning politicians, based on voting history and statements made. Now do I think regardless of who's at the helm this great land is on its downfall. Yes. But mostly because Conservatives have no spine and liberals just whine louder.

I'm not afraid of Hillary. Even though he is was great explorer Sir Edmund Hillary is well into his eighties. I think I could take him.

However, I fear for the future of my country should Hilary (1 "L", at least learn how to spell her name) Clinton become POTUS. She's NOT a Liberal. She's worse. She's a megalomaniac.

If you don't think Hillary is liberal, you haven't been paying attention. Actually, she's beyond liberal - more like socialist. If you doubt that, remember who dreamed up the idea to have the government take over our health care system. Granted, it has its flaws, but the solution lies with less government interference, not more.

Maybe conservatives are afraid to have to part with some of their money if Hillary makes it. Maybe she can get the much needed health issues on the board and make them stick this time. I am having great hopes for her. The heck with the conservatives.

that is all con servers have; petty and small minded attacks.
They don't have reason on their side. They don't ahve the facts on their side. They don't have science on their side. They don't have ethics on their side. They don't have morality even, on their side. All they can do is attack and smear their opponents and lie
and misinform. And thats what they do loudly enough that about
50 percent of the population buys into it. Its worked for them so far, and its the only thing that savesthem time and again, so
its pretty much a reflex by now. If you don't have an argument,
attack the arguer. its called "ad hominem" agument, its a logical
fallacy. Almost all repugnicon reasoning is ad hominems, false dillemas, and straw men.
