This makes me glad not to be a parent, because I could not afford to throw my children parties like that.

Do you think those parents go too far?

I'm glad my child is grown. I think parents who do this are giving their children a false sense of I can have anything I want without working hard for it. Where is the learning here? It kind of makes me sick when I watch our future generation of children on MTV Super Sweet 16. Where is the value here?

I think the kids on that show are spoiled. I know that turning 16 is a very big deal in a young person's life, and like all birthdays, it should be celebrated.

For my sweet 16, my parents rented me and 2 of my closest female friends a room at the local Holiday Inn (it was less than 2 miles from their house). We all went out to dinner (at Olive Garden, my fave), then went back to the house for ice cream cake!! Us girls then went back to the hotel and went swimming. It may not have been a raging party, but I know the people who truly love and care about me were there. That should be what counts.

you do not imagine being gay is superb? i'm assuming that is what you have become at the following. besides, she isn't even 3 and as long as your sil isn't outright groping her girlfriend in the front of your newborn i do not see the priority the following. ultimately your newborn will advance up besides and commence to be conscious such issues as females retaining fingers or adult adult males retaining fingers; it is extra uncomplicated now than it changed into. My son is 4 and my gay aunt and her girlfriend were round him his finished existence and he's under no circumstances puzzled some thing because they don't coach affection or do any PDA round one yet another even as round kinfolk or if in public. I surely do not have any subject matters with my newborn being round a gay man or woman because i like my aunt and that i favor him to advance up understanding that each man or woman is diverse. and she or he's 3, she will have the capacity to no longer %. that up at one of those smooth age reason she will have the capacity to no longer comprehend it besides. rather in case your sil is respectful round her and would not do some thing you'll evaluate "extraordinary" i do not comprehend what the priority is, sorry. notwithstanding it is your newborn and also you may want to develop her the way you experience is nice. interior the top it is your call. you're the be certain, no longer us.

Yeah, me and my friend watch that show. I kinda hate it when the rich parent spoil their child like that. Me and my friend, have thought why can't they show sweet 16 with normal kids, who don't go with the fancy stuff.

No what is going to far for your kids!! I'd rather be known for the doing too much for my kids than doing to little. If you had the means why not if I'm Michael Jordan's son Do I ask to go to Chucky Cheese.

for me, i would consider that a bit much. but i guess if u have the money to go that far, then why not?
but some of those kids, i gotta say, are annoying spoiled brats. its ok to give ur kids as much as u can give them, theres nothing wrong with that, but when they act the way some of those kids act, it becomes a bit annoying.

I love watching it but would never do that to my children. Those parents are just doormats that their children walk all over.
