It appears that like everyone in the US is having the same problem. At least you can know you are not alone. I am sure before long yahoo will be back.

Somehow I feel we've been down this road DOZENS of times today already. Let's give this question a break and ask something more useful, like . . . When will Yahoo! Messenger be running again?

You know.. I'm FRENCH living in FRANCE.... and
I can't log in yahoo messenger too.....
So.. perhaps this is a world problem !!!!!!!!!!!!
perhaps yahoo authenticate servers felt down...

Most of the users of Yahoo's latest version 'BETA' are facing this problem. I think its quite natural as its 'BETA'... :-) So no need to worry much... they are trying to improve it...so there is outage.

there is a prob with messenger, you are not the only one
