From what I've been exposed to about Iran, the vast majority of the country is very young, increasingly liberal, and increasingly educated, to the chagrin of the ruling religious council.

I gathered information about one of Iran's previous elections a few years back. There were many young reform candidates that were refused the right to be put on the ballot. The process seemed to be an effort to contain an ever growing public sentiment to reform the radical Islam ruling council. That's just what I took from it.

Up until the previous president was elected, I believed Iran was headed in a positive direction, though I didn't see it coming to fruition for some years. Rome wasn't built in a day.

I still think there is some hope for serious change in Iran from the inside, but I don't believe they should be allowed to develop nuclear weapons in the meantime, and I'd support targeted force, such as bombing, to prevent it, but I would hate to set this countries political progress back through an invasion.

What Iran needs right now is for the oldest generation of politicians to retire and make room for young blood.

Iran is the best country ever.. The best and the worst people ever:D
Well I'm from Iran and I shouldn't answer this question.. But I'm living in Canada and I'm away from everything that is going on there. Iranian are very warm and hospitable especially toward foriegners. A lot of people here didn't know that much about Iran until recently. Well today Iran is famous in the World thanks to Mullahs.. Iran is a beautiful country without her Mulla government.. Iranians are not the same as the people who are running the country...

They are to radical I know some of them and you can't even talk to their sister, they have crazy ideas about everything. Iran would make a excellent area for solar panels after the nuclear fallout settles and the bulldozers clean up.
