I write poetry and blogs. For examples of my work, go to http://bripoeticjustice.spaces.msn.com/ I don't want the usual subjects of love and death and stuff like that. I'm looking for more inspirational and unique topics.

Inspirational here means mainly something spiritual, religious, or something of that nature. In the past, I've written blogs about Bible verses. I've also written blogs about loving one another, peace, fighting for what's right, Martin Luther King Jr., and Gandhi, among other topics.

I know what you mean. I have been writing since a young age, and am always trying to write something inspiring. Write about war, people standing up for freedom, or you could just think about ANYTHING in your life that was inspiring.

Good luck and I hope your writing turns out well.

You can sign up for a newsletter from Journalution.com. The back newsletters are available at the site also. In each one, the author gives writing prompts. These topics/questions might just be what you need to get going.
I just discovered this site yesterday & it sounds perfect for you.

In my humble opinion "high" topics are not exactly inspirational. I rather read something about humanity, but not in an academic sense, but in a humanitarian sense.

Here´s a topic you can write about: tickling. Ask anyone if they know how to tickle and they´ll say they do. But its probably not true. Tickling involves so many human things that it is usually overlooked. :)

(Not to sound stuck-up) but I once wrote a piece I am pretty proud of called "Prayer of a Pebble" (it wanted to be a rock (analogy for Peter)). Then I did a little sequel "Prayer of a Rock" where the rock becomes a Diamond (symbol of eternal love).
Try to find something common and ordinary and make it come to life.
Good Luck

You're going to need to make your own inspiration.

Plant a garden of annuals, and another of perennials. Write something inspirational about what you observe as you care for these gardens from season to season.

Good luck.

How about writing on men standing up for freedom, defending their families, dying for a cause.

You can't force yourself to write something truly inspirational. To write it you need just that -- inspiration.

Write an ode to a poet you admire. Try to imitate that poet's style.
