Maybe they're stupid, maybe they just like the attention... Are we the stupid ones for giving them the attention?

There are a lot of silly questions on YA including yours which is really more of a rant than a question. Try looking in different categories if you want to see good questions and good answers. Smart people have discovered that YA is a way it get almost instant information from people who possess a lot of knowledge (as well as from people who are just gaming for points.) I've seen interesting travel questions, questions about pet care, requests for help with homework in math, science and languages. I've received help with household appliances, computer problems and the title of a book I had been serching for for years. I too am annoyed by the way some people treat a valuable resource like a giant toy but that's what happens when a lot of people get together. It takes all kinds.

I think some are just so dumb, some are just kids who don`t know better, and some of them are just asswads. And btw...
you`re fat if you can`t see your own feet, you can sit down to pee, you are hungry when yer stomach starts talking to you, grilled cheese is too soft to beat anyone with, you go poop when your tummy tells you to, I won`t hold your hand, cheating is for idiots, ur not pretty and can`t be a model, turn left to go left, and weigh yourself at least once a week. WHAT THE HELL ! LOL.

Some people have child like moments because they are bored and can not think of any thing useful to do with their precious time. So they ask mindless questions to entertain themselves. Their parents and other family members have failed them, in not teaching them that working with their hands and helping others are the secrets to happiness and contentment.

No, not stupid, really, probably just very young, immature, insecure, and unaware of how they look asking such questions. I think I was probably qite a bit like that when I was young, but I'm an old geezer now and of course, as you know, very, very wise !!

There's a bazillion questions here, so just pass the dumb ones by and find something more intreresting and think "Thank God I'm not like that".

There are children and teens on here, so some questions may be genuine and of course some are just being silly. Along with a few silly adults.

Just keep it in mind that there are children on here. Plz try to keep it clean and be nice.

Asking and answering seems to be good fun. It's about being in contact with others, but with a mask-effect. I like it, really. I agree with one of the answerers: we give them what they need: attention. Is it such a bad thing? And many of them are just kids, I'm sure...

People are not stupid. Their stupidity is also a kind of human expressiion. It gives them relief by expressing their stupid thoughts on yahoo Q & A, which they cannot dare ask their friends lest they are misunderstood and considered stupid.

They are dumb questions, because the majority of them are asked by children. Not immature adults, not young adults, not even teens in most cases but actual children, 12 and under, who are bored on their summer holidays with parents who are too busy to pay attention to them.

Yeah, there's being silly, and then there's being just plain stupid. I've seen some pretty bad ones too that made me wonder about the ones asking them. Hopefully they don't breed.
