What are some good brand for Ram.

Also what is really the difference between DDR2 SDRAM and DDR SDRAM (technically)?

DDR2 is newer and more advanced...howeve you need a motherboard that suports it. DDR is more common and is prolly what you need....but still cheak. The numbers after the DDR (like DDR 400) are the speed at wich the RAM runs at. Higher is better...there is more to RAM than the ammount of it.

Your computer uses a certain type of memory, you can't simply choose the type you want....
