if you grow up in an atmosphere where drinking wine with a meal is normal and maybe some mixed with lemonade for the smaller children, then it will be as normal as eating toast, so why bother to overdo something so boringly normal.also you will have a greater tolerance for alchohol and not get drunk so quickly.

Because, there's no "thrill" in it for you guys who parents allow supervised drinking; the parents who don't, get the "thrill" which could lead to such things as DUI's, etc....people always want what they can't have....Don't drink and drive, though; and I'm not condoning underage drinking, just being a realist!

Kids are curious and want to try different things. Also, teens can be defiant for awhile. I am sure when they wisen up they will change. Bring up a child in the way he should go and when he is older he will not depart from it.
