In Texas it is not illegal to date someone who is two years younger or older than you. However you need to consider what your parents would say. Are they comfortable with you dating an 18 year old? You also need to consider what will happen in a year or so when the 18 year old goes to college...Will you be dumped for someone closer or will they stay with you and be true to you when they are far off? Only you can judge that though I have found that parents are pretty intuitive about the people their children are interested in. If your mom/dad dont have a problem with this situation then I say you should do what makes you happy. But be careful...peer pressure is a hard thing to resist and you will be put into positions with an 18 year old that you may not be willing/able or prepared to handle.
Good Luck!!!

Yes. As long as your parents are okay with that. When I was 16, I was dating 18-19 year olds and thought it was really great. Now when I look back on that and I am 19, I wonder why those guys would want to date such a young girl when there are so many ladies their age that are wonderful. Well, they couldn't resist me and I've always looked older (like 18-20) starting when I was 14 and now my looks match my age! I'd say go for it though- that isn't much of an age difference! My boyfriend now is 22 and I am 19!

Well, according to government rules, it's wrong because it's considered a form of rape because 18 is considered an adult as 16 still a child. But in my opinion, if you really like the guy, just try to keep it a secret from certain people who can get you into trouble. Just be careful and make smart desicions.

well according to many people girls are more mature than guys so it should be fine. my boyfriend is 1yr3mo. older than me, we started going out when i was still 16 and he had just turned 18 and it was perfectly fine, in 3moths i was gonna be 17 and it was no biggie, maturity wise we were fine. it might be a little different if you just recently turned 16 and he was just about to turn 19. it might be a problem though if you are having sex, im not sure though, in texas 17yrs of age is the legal age and if you 2 are having sex and you're under 17 it might not be legal since he's over 17, but im not sure. if not use this formula just for fun on the youngest age you should date: his age divided by 2, plus 7... pretty cool formula, i read it somewhere...

if the guy is dating you because he really likes you and not just for sex then there is not a problem w/ it. when i was 16 i dated an 18 yr old and it was my best relationship that i've had so far in my life, it was also very serious. just make sure you're mature enough to handle someone who is 2 yrs older than you.

Wrong? hard to answer.
Illegal? in some places

If it IS illegal then dont let ANYONE tell you that nothing will be done about it. A youing family friend was caught with his younger girlfriend outside their home (a popular parking spot). The parents didnt press charges but the county DA did. Now he has to register as a sex offender and has trouble getting work. To top it all off, when he got out of jail he married her. And he is STILL a sex offender.

First of all - i think most women have dated 18 yr olds when they were 16 - just know what you are getting yourself into - and also with a name like playboy bunny i wouldnt think you would be too worried about it lol

If you have to ask, I don't think you are mature enough to date someone that old. And I also don't think you're able to detect when a guy wants you for some *** or if he really wants a relationship. Stick with people more your age and of the same intelligence.
