For the band known as Van Halen, I have just the right and brief description of the two:
Originality and Performance --- David Lee Roth
Voice Clarity and Professionalism --- Sammy Haggar
So why dont you just Jump!!--Jump!!!! heheey Jump!!
But personally I like David than Sammy becoz he is the original voice of Van Halen and he is also the one who made it popular to the world, talk about "California Girls"..

David Lee Roth was more entertaining to watch, but Sammy had a better voice.

With Van Hale as lead singer: David Lee Roth
Sammy is great on his own - the Red Rocker has some awesome vocals on his own albums - yes those black vynyl things in your granny's attic? - and he also sang for Montrose way back in the early 1970's.

Overall Sammy had the better voice and meshed better with the group.....on the other hand, Dave was the original and he was the voice of Van Halen. He just lost himself in his own hype and it cost him his job.
Sammy gets my vote..................
