Well in my humble opinion i have my top 10....
1 Pink Floyd - Comfortably numb (heavenly)
2 Guns n Roses - November rain (all 3 of them)
3 Eagles - Hotel California (hypnotic)
4 Eddie van Halen - Eruption
5 Ozzy (Randy Rhodes) - Crazy train
6 Gary Moore - Parisenne walkways
7 AC/DC (Angus Young) - Let there be rock
8 Eric Clapton - Layla
9 Lynrd Skynrd (Collins+Rossington) - Freebird
10 Jimi Hendrix - Little Wing
Not a bad line up

I think one is John Fruisciante's solo in Dani California by the Red Hot Chilis. But who wouldn't like the power of Mr. Jimi Hendrix's guitar solos?

Led Zeppelin's "Stairway To Heaven" possibly. Or "All Along The Watchtower" or "Voodoo Child (slight return)" by The Jimi Hendrix Experience.
Paradox (below): - Dear me, I forgot Rush's "La Villa Strangiato". Wow! What a workout that is! Good suggestion.
Oh,and Iron Maiden's "The Trooper"; Joe Satriani's "Big Bad Moon"; "Shine On You Crazy Diamond", "Another Brick In The Wall (part 2)" or "Comfortably Numb" by Pink Floyd; "Sweet Home Alabama", "Call Me The Breeze" or "Freebird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd; "Whisky In The Jar" by Thin Lizzy; Parisienne Walkways" by Gary Moore/Phil Lynott; something by AC/DC; most of Stevie Ray Vaughan's back catalogue...
...this list could go on for some time.

the first song that tought me quite plenty changed into want you've been right here by using utilising pink floyd has some sensible yet hard finger positions for a newbie and enables you turn less complicated understand the basic chords proper now like A D and G are the basic in my view they're used throughout

Joe Satriani. All of his songs are instrumental guitar...and they shred. He's probably one of the greatest rock guitarists of all time. Check out his "Surfing With The Alien" album and you'll see what I mean...
