Actually I was once involved in a horrible event that still haunts me. I won't elaborate on the event, but I will say that I have seen the lives of the others who were also involved fall to pieces.

I suppose guilt is as good a reason as any to have a life that sucks.

But for me, it's different. This may sound cheesy, but I heal myself every day, in every moment, and even in the very work of my life, by helping others.

In other words, I feel the need to make other lives better. I suppose that for some people misery truly does love company. But I can't stand misery. So I doubt I'd care much for the company.

I love the thrill of life.

Actually, just the opposite. When my life sucks I go check out my friends to see how they do (whatever is not working for me) or what they do right. It is very helpful and I get to see my friends a little more often. Sometimes I just come here and get new ideas. This is a great site! Good queston. Thanks.

No. My life may be miserable, but it doesn't give me the right to try to spread as much gloom and doom as possible to everyone I come in contact with!

No, I become a hermit. I'm very considerate in that way. For me, misery likes to be left the @#!* alone.
